About 6 months ago, my best friend Melissa's mother was diagnosed with a brain tumor.

Since that time, her health has declined. The tumor effected her speech, feeling and use of her limbs, mobility, etc. She has had a multitude of tests and biopsies, on the tumor. It is not cancer, it is not lymphoma. In fact, to this day the doctors have not given her tumor any "real" diagnosis. They do not know what it is or how to cure it.

She started on steroids to try and help her get back some speech and mobility that she had lost. It worked a little bit, but not enough. She recently started chemo.

Due to her illness, she lost her job and her insurance. Melissa has been paying for her cobra to keep her insurance going. Because of the non-diagnosis, it has been a huge struggle trying to apply for Social Security.

They have fallen behind on their house payment and are very close to loosing their house. This is my attempt at helping them raise $4000.00 to save their home from foreclosure.
